Ireland -Fighting to be free-

In a book, Ireland, this time I focus on fighting history they experienced as far.

Ireland gave a little better life to Catholics by 1900. They had churches and schools in a city, but they were so poor and needed to go US and UK to find jobs. Some nationalist wanted to change the situation and asked Irish Parliaments to end Union and give them the right to decide about themselves in their own meeting, but Parliaments not only deny it but also fight with the people who want the new system.

In 1914, British government told 'Ireland will still belong to Britain,' and it made most Irish nationalist happy, on the other hand, the Protestant Unionist unhappy because most protestants lived in the town near Belfast. But the city, Belfast was marched by armies around the town. They wanted keeping Union. The British government confused. Moreover, in 1914, WW1 started and people have to go and fight with British army against Germany. However, Most Irish Nationalist, didn't appeared there because they wanted to leave Ireland in fact, so they didn't wanted to fight the German, for a reason that they may help their leaving. In 1916, they, mainly including Catholics, loving native culture very much, decide to fight for free Ireland. In Dublin, for six long days, there was fight and many men died there and about 2000 men were sent to prison.

After this tragedy, Easter Monday 1916 became a very important day in Irish History, and all was changed.  And until now, this strain has stayed in Ireland as Northern Ireland issue.
