The Elephant Man

The Elephant Man by Tim Vicary

 This book is written about a very ugly man and a doctor. One day, the doctor, Dr. Treve found this on his way to home.

Come in and see the Elephant Man. 2 pence.

 Then he was so interested,angry, and afraid. He went in the old building. There was a dirty man in an old coat with a cigarette. He paid to him and enter a closed room. It was so dark and smelly. On the day, he promised him to come to his hospital few days later. After seeing him in the hospital, the shop was closed and there was nobody in it.
 Few years later, the elephant man visit the hospital with a card Dr. Treve gave him when he visited the hospital for the first time. From the day, thanks to the hospital and others' help, he lived in there as his house.

 He was miserable before though, because of cure, it and his mind getting better. Finally he met a lot of people, read books, and visited where he wanted to go so far. He has just wanted to live like me  and you as one of normal human beings. He achieve them little by little. He also wanted to sleep on his back like we usually do...

This book made me think about unconscious bias and what is happiness. You'll also get a good opportunity.
I recommend it very much.
