The cleverest person in the world by Norman Whitney(1979)
One day, there was a poor family. A father was carpenter and his wife work hard in her house. They have three daughters. They loved the girls very much. But, actually they also wanted a son very much because in their college it's natural that boys help their fathers' work to make more money with corporation. They have to give money when a daughter get marry to her husband. But they didn't have enough money to do it. That's why they wanted a son so much.
A year later, finally, a son came their family. The father was so happy as he had believed that he help his work and earn money. However, the more and more he raise, the more and more he dislike to help his father and be a carpenter like his father. He said that he wants to be a scientist. At around that time, some people came to realized that he is as clever as no one have met.
He learned faster than any other people. When he was 19, he had already graduated university. He wanted to get the praise; the cleverest person in the world. He went around the world to get the praise in each country.
One day, an american TV program asked him to take part in the tournament named the cleverest person in the world. They gathered clever persons around the world. He wanted to win definitely. Unfortunately, he asked the TV producer to tell him the questions and answers. As you know, he wan the tournament. Finally he became the cleverest person and one of the most popular and famous person in USA.
Later, he was invited a famous program. In the show, a guest talk about his life and all in front of audiences. He told his life story.
He seems to be happy. However all of them were false.

My producer was Pete Stone. He was the producer of the show, The Cleverest Person In The World. I was the star of the show. Once, he wanted to show me the questions. It was before the final show. But I said no. I did not want to see the questions. I said that I would win the show.
And I did win the show. And now I am the cleverest person in the world.(p. 53)

But he didn't say the true stories. He has raised and grew up until the age with a lot of work and helps of many people around him since he was born. However, in the end, he betrayed them.
