ONE WAY TICKET

ONE WAY TICKET by Jennifer Bassett

This book includes three stories of people taking a train to go somewhere.
This time, I'm going to review about one of these stories, The Girl with Green eyes.
One day, a couple was going to trip to where they go every year. In front of them, a man in brown hat, a man reading paper, and a mother and her two children. A boy of the couple, Bill, likes talking very much and the man in brown hat too. So they were enjoying talking each other. But his girl friend with green eyes, Julie seemed not to so enjoying.
However, while the men went to a restaurant to eat lunch and chat, she was attracted to him very much even though there were no word between the two.
Finally, she got off the train with him and there wasn't Julie when the men came back from that. He was so upset and got angry.
Then, the man told him like that.

'Go and have your holiday in St Austell. You can have a good time there. Forget about Julie. Those green eyes, now.' He took out a second sandwich and begun to eat it. ' I knew a woman once with green eyes. She gave me a very bad time. No, you want to forget about Julie.' (p.13)

I was so funny because the men were similar each other not only to like talking but also to get a bad memory through the girl with green eyes.
